Once more, Brenk Sinatra came up with a new album with 90's detective style with super amazing samples beyond them.
Brenk came up with a brilliant hip-hop 90's beat style and said to me that everything has had a theme of detective tv series in the core. The media he and his collaborator Won Two went through that time, the movies, the music, books and stories, all sort of things that made them a enthusiast of 90's thrillers.
So, he discussed it if anything wants to have a move or appearance, it is good to be in the way of that theme we were talked about.
I had/have some enthusiasm about same themed tv series like Due South, North of 60 and Navarro were so popular in my region though.
So, I had some pre-constructed sense about purple and blue color harmonies and use of night lights and bokeh in mind which were used in the cover art as well.
Unlike the previous project (Gumbo III) here I had a steady idea about what it could be. There wasn't much of concept arts and scraps to share, as the Brenk himself wanted the project to be less surreal or fantasy-like.
I came up with a lot of 3D assets, models and animations to create a couple of scenes they look like the single releases covers.
Most of 3D assets are used from Blender Kit gallery.
I tried to expand covers contents into videos, so audience could be fed with more concepts.
Watch some behind the scenes of 3D scenes here.
Also, you can watch the motions below.
It is a track that reminds me of 80's, 90's brandings, with that luxury watch on its center.
A sense of being a intro sequence for TV series in the past.
As Brenk himself said, "It's a very personal track" as they were there in Oakland Theater for some events.
The crime-thriller was in my mind for this one, you can see some short footage goes on floor.
A collaboration with Shuko
